About Aaron Street.
Aaron Street is a lawyer, entrepreneur, author, and historic preservationist based in Northfield, Minnesota.
He is the founder of Remaking Ventures, where he advises business owners on long-term strategy, systems, succession, and navigating the future.
He co-founded Lawyerist in 2009, building it into the leading practice management resource for small firm lawyers. After merging Lawyerist with Affinity Consulting Group in 2023, he now serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors at Affinity. He is co-author of The Small Firm Roadmap Revisited, a bestselling guide for lawyers building and running small law firms.
Before founding Lawyerist, Aaron’s career spanned the United States Senate, the White House, corporate strategy consulting, election law, legal education, and ventures in robotics and innovation management. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he served as articles editor of the Minnesota Journal of Global Trade, and was the graduate student representative to the University of Minnesota Board of Regents.
Outside of the legal industry, Aaron owns and is restoring the 1857 Lyceum Building in Northfield, Minnesota, the town’s original municipal hall with ties to the abolition movement. He is writing the first biography of Oskar J.W. Hansen, the Norwegian-American sculptor best known for the monuments at Hoover Dam, and founded the Oskar J.W. Hansen Archives to support that research.
